I think it goes without saying that having a curious nature makes you question and reflect on things. Since a young age, I always knew that eating animals didn’t line up with my feelings or emotions, yet I kept ignoring it. But my gut continued to gnaw at me, which led me to read When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Lives of Animals by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson and Susan McCarthy. After turning the last page, I had made the decision to become vegetarian. This was 24 years ago, and somewhere mid-way through, I became vegan – but not always a perfect one. My happy place is Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY. I love fashion and interior design, and above all, a good meal.
